Time and time again, people ask me where I get my inspiration for my photography. As an artist, I get inspiration from hundreds of things on a daily basis! It could be from hearing a song, seeing a Pinterest photo, remembering an important time or person, seeing light break through the trees on my drive home .... There are literally tons of things that inspire me!
My most recent inspiration has come through Geraldine Magazine (Issue 1). I purchased it several months ago but placed it on the shelf, waiting for just the right time (and mindset) to browse the unique and artistic photo collections inside. Generally the best kind of inspiration for my work comes from paper images and photographs. Very rarely will I find as strong of connection to an image on a computer in its digital state. I think it has to do with me being able to hold an image as I am studying it.
After browsing the magazine today, I am so inspired to continue shooting. I have the greatest job in the world and I am so happy that I get to do what I love. I would love to know - what are all of the things that inspire you?
